Reach Ahead-Grade 8

Reach Ahead is a program designed for grade 8 students interested in taking high school credits. The principal of the student's middle school, in consultation with the principal of HAC and the student's parent, will determine whether enrolment in high school courses is suitable.

HAC follows all established Ministry procedures when accommodating a Reach Ahead student, including recording and rewarding achievement as applicable.

Students are normally eligible for Reach Ahead either through the Grade 8 school year or the summer preceding Grade 9, as specified in Section 2.5.2.1 of the Ontario Schools: Policy and Program Requirements.

Prior to registration, students and parents are asked to submit a Reach Ahead Enrolment Request.

What We Offer

The best quality of education.

How Does it Work?

We offer high-quality Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit courses. HAC offers over X courses for students in grade 9-12, all of which count toward the OSSD in the same way that courses in traditional brick-and-mortar school do.
