Entry requirements for study in Canada

After you’ve decided on a field of study, you’ll need to meet the admissions requirements for Canadian universities. Common admittance requirements for international students at Canadian universities include:
A high school average of 70% or above (85% or higher for more selective colleges)
An essay and a personal statement about why you want to study in Canada.
Reference letters
If English is not your first language, you will need to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam.
