FAQ

Students can enroll in asynchronous or synchronous online courses at any time and work at their own speed. The content development team at HAC has meticulously crafted each course's teaching material to meet the requirements of the Ontario curriculum. Each of our contributors and developers is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and possesses extensive teaching experience in their respective disciplines. Assignments and tests are interspersed throughout the course material. Students submit their written responses and assignments online. Throughout the course, there are interactive exercises and multimedia elements to engage students, allow an opportunity to practise learning and differentiate instruction. The assignments are submitted through the learning environment's online Dropbox. All exams and quizzes will be open book, timed, and administered online. Highland Academy of Canada will provide an official copy of the final report card to the student's home school so that it can be put on their Ontario Student Transcript (OST).
